A&P MECHANIC COURSES
The purpose of these courses is to prepare you for the FAA Mechanic
written, oral, and practical examination; it is a refresher course. We work with
experienced aircraft mechanics that desire to have a FAA A&P license. You must present
proof of 30 months previous experience your local FAA FSDO to acquire your test permission

* Oral and Practical preparation provides
the student the knowledge to pass the O&P evaluation.
** AvTech works with
approx. 5+ DME's who administer the O&P evaluation. This allows greater latitude
in scheduling your O&P evaluation, You will never have to wait. The DME's do not
work for AvTech Exams. There fore we are unable to establish a set fee, as each
DME sets his own rate. Prices are $500
for US residents $550 - $600
for international students.

A $250 deposit is required to reserve a
seat in class. The deposit will be applied to the cost of your tuition
on your first day. The $250 deposit is non-refundable if you fail to show for
your scheduled class. But this deposit may be applied to a later class date if
proper notice of cancellation or rescheduling is afforded to the AvTech Exams
scheduler.
Deposits are payable to AvTech Exams by
regularly excepted payment methods. Visa, MC, Company Check, Travelers Checks.
You will receive direct personal instruction until you understand all
of the required information and pass the FAA mechanic exams. FAA exams must have a grade
of 70% or above in order to pass. Results are guaranteed.
After you have passed the FAA Mechanic written exams, you must pass the
oral and practical. If you choose to take the Oral and Practical in California, it will be
scheduled with a FAA designated examiner by AvTech Exams personnel. At that time, you must
have your grade slips for your written exams and two copies of the oral and practical
application (8610-2) signed by the FAA. The oral and practical tests are given throughout
the USA. We prepare you to take this test here upon completion of the Oral and Practical
exam. You go home with your license in your pocket.
FAA exam grades are recorded as course grades. Receipt of the FAA
Mechanics Certificate is considered completion of the course. Thereafter an AvTech Exams
diploma will be awarded.

This form is 3 pages, the first page you
really do not need. The second page is the front of the form and the third page is the
back of the second page. You must fill-out 2 copies, DO NOT SIGN the forms until the FAA
tells you to do so during your interview.
Description:
The FAA Airframe and Powerplant Examination Preparation Course prepares
the student to pass the Federal Aviation Administration's General Airframe and Powerplant
Ratings (A&P) examinations. The instruction covers all subject matter necessary to
successfully complete both the FAA General Airframe Examination and the FAA Powerplant
Examination. The student is exposed to lecture; practice tests; test taking techniques and
tips specific to the Airframe and Powerplant examinations. The student participates in a
review of representative questions from the FAA Airframe and Powerplant question
databases.

What ’s the Licensing and
Certification Benefit?
The new licensing and certification benefit allows VA (Department of Veterans
Affairs) to pay you, if you’re eligible, for a test for a license or certification.
You can receive reimbursement for approved licensing or certification tests you take on or
after March 1, 2001. These tests must be specifically approved for the G.I. Bill.
Note: VA can pay only for the cost of the test and not other fees
connected with obtaining a license or certification.
Will this benefit really be a good deal for me?
In today ’s business and government climate, having a license or
certification can open doors for you. A license is required for most professions, and for
jobs that are subject to State or other government regulations. Certification is
voluntary, but frequently sought after. That ’s because getting a certification can
help you get, keep, or advance in a job. (By certification, we mean the certification you
get by taking a specific test for a field of employment, not a certificate you receive for
completion of training. However, you can also use your VA benefits for many school courses
needed to obtain a license or certification.) In jobs from mechanics, installers,
repairers to medical technicians to therapists to computer network engineers, Web site
developers, and many, many others, certification plays a key role.
How do I get reimbursement? During
your enrollment at AvTech-Exams we will provide you with the proper forms to request
reimbursement.
